For money you can have everything it is said. No, that is not true. You can buy food, but not appetite; medicine, but not health; soft beds, but not sleep; knowledge but not intelligence; glitter, but not comfort; fun, but not pleasure; acquaintances, but not friendship; servants, but not faithfulness; grey hair, but not honor; quiet days, but not peace. The shell of all things you can get for money. But not the kernel. That cannot be had for money.

Do all you can with what you have, in the time you have, in the place you are.

Sometimes we behave as though there was something more important than life. But what?

Every one of us is precious in the cosmic perspective. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.

God made so many different kinds of people; why would God allow only one way to worship?

Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conquoror. Kill them all, and you are a god.

Follow your own weird.

We are all participants in the marvelous.

I like not to know for as long as possible because then it tells me the truth instead of me imposing the truth.

The greatest gift one can give is thanksgiving. In giving gifts, we give what we can spare, but in giving thanks we give ourselves.
