What I'm About

Core: love of learning. "Too much sanity may be madness, and the maddest of all is to see life as it is and not as it should be." (Don Quixote, "Man of La Mancha") Being raised in the Unitarian Church, by a scientist, I was encouraged and taught to question. As an RN I learned to overcome my patients' resistance to healthy life changes and get them to accept new concepts that were essential to their health. I have always been an avid learner, the Internet has multiplied my ability to fulfill my interests far beyond anything I expected. I had planned to spend my last years of employment as a nursing instructor. Disability forced an early retirement, leaving me with a lot of time to support many causes, learn more, and teach where/when I can. My biggest concern at this point is in climate change. Civil rights have been the overriding cause in my life, which my parents were involved in 4 years before my birth. Politically I am committed to helping people see the truth of life as it is.
