Love your neighbor as yourself.
Jesus said "Love your neighbor as yourself", and this is what this looks like in modern day life.
Will Rogers –“I have never met a man I didn’t like.” 9/2012 Our next door neighbor in RV Park was a retired black couple that seemed to be the life of the camp. They had camp fires every night and attracted a wide group of diverse people. We got to talking about genealogy and one thing led to another. In the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s they had been part of the American Muslim Brotherhood. I could easily understand why this black man and woman joined the Muslims during that time in our history. It was one of the few places that black men and women were treated with respect and provided tools to empower and build self-esteem. What I couldn’t understand is why he left the Muslims. It is like all religions, he said, as you advance up the latter, you find it is all about money and power, not about getting closer to God. These days this couple is the embodiment of a Christian and Spiritual walk in life. They love life, they love people, they love Jesus, there isn’t one intolerant cell in their bodies, and all felt loved in their presence. Jesus said “Love your neighbor as yourself", and this is what this looks like in modern day life.
